Little Green Bean Roastery is a small-batch coffee roaster on Point Arena's Main Street — the kind of place road-trippers on Highway 1 smell before they see. When the Pacific fog rolls in heavy, the roast cuts right through it and pulls you to the door. Owner Debra runs it with her brother, roasting on site in a coastal town small enough that the shop is one of the few stops on the main drag.
This is a roaster first and a café second: the mission is fresh, organic, small-batch coffee, sourced sustainably from small farms through fair-trade programs and direct relationships. You come for a meticulously made drip-to-order or pour-over and to carry home a bag of just-roasted beans — not to linger. Seating is famously minimal (more on that below). With a 4.9 Google rating, it's a favorite for anyone who takes their coffee seriously.
What to Order
- A pour-over — the room's specialty. The Mexican and Peruvian single origins are the two to know; both are regulars in the rotation
- Drip-to-order coffee — described by regulars as rich, smooth, and brewed to perfection
- Beans by the bag ($17 / 12 oz) — a rotating organic, fair-trade lineup: Colombia, Costa Rica (La Amistad), Ethiopia Sidama, Guatemala Huehuetenango, and a water-processed decaf Peru, among others
- Chocolate & pastries — chocolates and pastries handle the food side, and they're branching into bean-to-bar dark chocolate

- Come to go — seating is essentially nothing: one indoor chair and a single outdoor table with two chairs. This is not a place to sit and work
- Mind the days — open Monday–Tuesday and Thursday–Saturday, 9 AM–3 PM; closed Wednesday and Sunday
- It's a morning-and-midday stop — plan around the 9–3 window
- Buy beans to take home — they roast in small batches, so what you carry out is freshly roasted; they also ship online and do wholesale
